Zundert is one of the most agricultural municipalities of the Netherlands.
10% of all "boomkwekers" (nursery-men) work in Zundert.
Zundert was expanded in 1997 with the former municipality of Rijsbergen.

Until 1997 Rijsbergen (population 6,100) was an independent municipality, after which it was added to Zundert. In the territory of the former municipality was one of the most important border crossings of the country: Hazeldonk. Hazeldonk was ceded in 1997 to Breda.External links
