WREK (FM) Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
WREK FM ("Wreck") is Georgia Tech's radio station, located at 91.1MHz FM in Atlanta. It is 40kW ERP, and approximately 6kW TPO, making it among the ten highest-power college radio stationss in the United States. The antenna is non-directional, and is located on a tower on the campus, connected via studio-transmitter link to the studios near the GTRI. Programming is student-run and extremely diverse, including everything from heavy metal to hip-hop, and Church of the Subgenius.
