William Wallace Campbell Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

William Wallace Campbell (April 11 1862June 14 1938) was an American astronomer.

He was director of Lick Observatory from 1900 to 1930. He specialized in spectroscopy.

He won the Henry Draper Medal and the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1906, as well as the Bruce Medal in 1915.

Craters on Mars and the Moon are named after him, as is the asteroid 2751 Campbell.
