William Hearst Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
William Hearst (February 15, 1864–September 29, 1941) was the Conservative Premier of Ontario from 1914 to 1919. His time in office saw women given the vote and an initiative to hold a plebiscite on prohibition that was held the same day as the 1919 general election. While prohibition was approved the Hearst government that proposed it was defeated in a shock victory by the United Farmers of Ontario in their first election.
