Werner Hamacher is currently a Professor in the Institut für Allgemeine und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, at the University of Frankfurt and was previously Professor of German and the Humanities at The Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of "Pleroma -- Dialectics and Hermeneutics in Hegel" and "Premises: Essays on Philosophy from Kant to Celan". He is also the co-editor of the series Meridian: Crossing Aesthetics, published by Stanford University Press.
