Wayne State University, located in Detroit, Michigan is a university with 13 schools and colleges. More than 350 major subject areas are studied by 31,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Its official student newspaper is The South End.

WSU also hosts the largest medical school in the United States, and NPR affiliate public radio station WDET-FM.

Over the last few years, WSU has been aggressive in constructing new gren glass buildings, including a new Welcome Center that displaced five local businesses.
