Vic Aldridge Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Victor Eddington "Vic" Aldridge (October 25, 1893, Indian Springs, IN - April 17, 1973, Terre Haute, IN) was a professional baseball player for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Giants.

Aldridge was a dependable second or third starter throughout most of his career. His finest moment came in 1925 when he pitched two complete game victories against the Washington Senators in the World Series. He was traded to the Giants after the 1927 season and held out for money most of the season, finally arriving out of shape and pitching ineffectively. As a result, he was traded to the Brooklyn Dodgers after the season, but refused to report and retired instead.
