The town Vadsų (Vesisaari in Finnish) in the county of Finnmark, Norway, has 6,120 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002. The municipality of Vadsų covers 1259 km², including the former municipality of Nord-Varanger.The place at which the town is located was a fishing station already in the 1500's, including a church. The area is known for its birch wood. It is a place of grazing land for reindeer.
