Tsuen Wan Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Tsuen Wan (荃灣區) is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the New Territories and is served by the Tsuen Wan Line of the MTR metro system. Population (2000): 290,500.

Tsuen Wan district is part of Tsuen Wan New Town.

The island of Ma Wan belongs administratively to the district.

Sights

The Sam Tung Uk Museum was set up in a former Hakka walled village.

Transportation

There are two railways serving the town:

• Tsuen Wan Line of the MTR metro system. Tsuen Wan is the terminus of the line.
• KCRC West Rail also has a station at the coastal area, named Tsuen Wan West.

There are also tens of bus routes serving Tsuen Wan, mostly operated by KMB. Citybus also operated a few.
