Details, Explanation and Meaning About Transport phenomena

Transport phenomena Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

In physics, transport phenomena are the various mechanisms by which things or quantities can move from one place to another. The three common examples are diffusion, convection and radiation.

There are three main types of transport phenomena:

An important principle in the study of transport phenomena is analogy between phenomena. For example the same equations governing convection in heat transfer can be appplied to convection in mass transfer.

Both heat and atomic particles can travel either by diffusion or by radiation.

Momentum in a liquid can travel by diffusion, in the case of laminar flow, or by mixing, in the case of turbulent flow.
