Thriller film Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Thriller films are movies that primarily use action and suspense to engage the audience.A thriller emphasizes nervous tension and anxiety. This is distinct from a horror movie which emphasizes fear, or an action movie which emphasizes exhilaration.
Alfred Hitchcock is considered by many to be the master of the genre. His ability to create "nail-biting" scenarios is studied in many major film schools around the world. Psycho, arguably the first mainstream "slasher" movie, established a new language of cinematic horror and updated the image of the cinematic monster from the fiend in a suit found in traditional "fright movie" matinees to the disturbed mind of an ostensibly ordinary man.
