The story follows Howard Fisk, a mild mannered, if not a little nerdy, librarian, who is a whiz at his job, but lacking in social skills. He is up for promotion which would move him out of the stacks and into the main wing.

A fellow employee offers Howard tickets to a three day, silent comedy film festival, which Howard accepts. Upon attending he discovers that there is a character in some of the silent movies who looks very familiar. He looks just like Howard.

From this point on, Howard's ordered life becomes something right out of a silent comedy!

Borgman brings back silent comedy with the mixing of color and black and white film. He wrote, produced, directed and starred in this film. Using pages right out of silent cinema Borgman creates a hectic atmosphere with a supernatural under current, to bring The Man in the Movie to life!

This film is not yet ready for release however, since Borgman put the production on hold in order to finish what was his second feature, but first release, The Deserter to fruition.

The film features the director's parents George A. Borgman, and Janet Borgman.
