The Life of Birds Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The Life of Birds is a BBC (in conjunction with BBC Worldwide Americas Inc. and PBS) natural history/ ornithology television series of ten episodes, about birds, presented by David Attenborough, originally transmitted in October 1998.

The series took three years to make, during which time Atenborough visited 42 countries.

The individual episodes are:

  1. To Fly or Not to Fly
  2. The Mastery of Flight
  3. The Insatiable Appetite
  4. Meat Eaters
  5. Fishing for a Living
  6. Signals and Songs
  7. Finding Partners
  8. The Demands of the Egg
  9. The Problems of Parenthood
  10. The Limits of Endurance

Each episode was just under 50 minutes long, recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio with stereo sound.

There was an accompanying book, and the series is available as a three- disc DVD set, with additional footage.
