The Evergreen State College Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The Evergreen State College is a publicly-funded experimental college that was founded in 1971 in Olympia, Washington. While its academic offerings have become more traditional in the past 30 years, it still replaces grades with individual written evaluations and organizes most studies into largely interdisciplinary classes titled "Coordinated Studies." It offers the degrees of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Master of Environmental Studies, Master in Public Administration, and Master in Teaching. As of 2003 it had approximately 4,300 students taught by 219 faculty members, of whom 62 were part-time.
