Tai Wo Hau (MTR) Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Tai Wo Hau station (Traditional Chinese: 大窩口站) is between Tsuen Wan and Kwai Hing stations, on Tsuen Wan Line of MTR, Hong Kong.As the first underground railway station in the New Territories (all other New Territories stations on Tsuen Wan Line are either surface or on viaducts, and all other New Territories underground stations are at least 16 years younger), it's placed on the north side of Castle Peak Road, in the middle of a park between the actual Tai Wo Hau public housing estate (which is to the south) and some resited villages to the north. These villages are the one originally settling in Tsuen Wan town centre, being moved for development.
The station is not very popular because of its distance with nearby bus stops and settlements, but the actual usage is still satisfactory.
