Suffixaufnahme Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
In linguistics, the phenomenon of possessive nouns agreeing in case with their head nouns. It is sometimes also called double case. Suffixaufnahme is found in Old Georgian and some other Caucasian languages, and some ancient Middle Eastern languages. Languages with suffixaufnahme are generally agglutinative.For example, a noun possessing the subject would be marked with a the subject affix as well as a genitive affix. A noun possessing that noun would be marked with a subject affix and two genitive affixes, to show that it is possessing a possessive.
In German, "suffixaufnahme" means "taking up of suffixes".
