Squill or squill liquid is a substance derived from a plant and is used as an ingredient in cough medicine, and in cardiac surgery.Squill - A type of squid. Distinguishing traits include a dark dorsal region, sometimes featuring lighter spots, and an elongated pen which enables this type of squid to reach an average length of 4 meters. A squill 5.7 meters long was found off the coast of New Guinea. No larger squills have been reported by reliable sources.
