Shran, one of the more notable Commanders of the Andorian Imperial Guard and party to First Contact between Humanity and the Andorians, is known for his loyal nature as well as his duplicity. Shran and Captain Archer meet on several occasions, each time building trust, respect and friendship. In Humanity's struggle to find the Xindi superweapon, Shran plays an integral role by proving the Enterprise with technical upgrades and support. Andorians are one of the 3 principal founding races of the United Federation of Planets, along with Humanity and the Vulcans. It remains to be seen if Shran will play any role in the creation of this historical and monumental alliance.
