Sheila Hancock Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Shelia Hancock (born February 22, 1933) is a British actor and comedian. She is twice a widow of other actors, first Alec Ross in 1971 and then John Thaw in 2002, by each of whom she had a daughter (Melanie Thaw, born 1964, of the former, and Joanna Thaw, born 1974, the latter; Melanie was adopted by John Thaw on his marriage with Hancock, hence the surname).

She has appeared in over 40 films--most of them television releases, though big-screen rôles include ones in Carry On Cleo and, somewhat later, Three Men and a Little Lady--on Just A Minute many times from the 1960s onwards, and Have I Got News For You once, as well as guest appearances in Doctor Who, Eastenders, and others.
