Robert Pastorelli (June 21, 1954–March 8, 2004) was an American actor from New Brunswick, New Jersey. He had many roles on TV, in movies, and on the theatrical stage, but is probably best known for the seven years he played painter "Eldin Bernecky" on the television series Murphy Brown. In 1993, Pastorelli gave a chilling performance as a killer in the film Striking Distance where he co-starred with Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker. Pastorelli's performance was one of the most chilling portrayals of a psychopath ever committed to film.The coroner's office later reported that he died of a heroin overdose [1]. His girlfriend, 25 year old Charemon Jonovich, was found dead in their home in 1999. Police think she may have accidentally shot herself.
He is survived by a daughter, Gianna, with Jonovich.
