Richard Diamond, Private Detective was a 1950s television show starring David Janssen. Diamond was a hard-boiled private detective in the tradition of film noir. His secretary, named "Sam", was shown only from the waist down on camera to display her beautiful legs. It was later learned that the legs displayed were those of Mary Tyler Moore, among other actresses.
