Red is an album by the band King Crimson, released in 1974.- Every track on Red is a studio recording, with the exception of track 4, "Providence", which is a live recording
- Track 1, "Red", was composed by Robert Fripp alongside a contrasting piece, "Blue". "Blue" has never been recorded.
- A part of track 1, "Red", was excised before the track was recorded. This part was later incorporated into the King Crimson track "VROOOM VROOOM", on the album THRAK.
- "Fallen Angel" is the last King Crimson recording to date to feature Robert Fripp playing acoustic guitar. On subsequent recordings, he has played only electric guitar.
- A longer version of track 4, "Providence", is available on the live 4CD set The Great Deceiver (disc 1, track 7).
