In Hinduism, Prithvi (pṛthvī) is an Earth Mother, wife of Dyaus Pita, mother of Indra and Agni. Originally, they were both known as Dyavaprthivi. When Indra killed Dyaus Pita, she applauded and married him. She is associated with the cow.Also spelt Prithivi, Prthivi.
Prithvi is the name given to the short range ballistic missile with a range of 250-300 Kms developed by India under IGDMP.
Prithvi was also the Maharaja of Nepal at the Canton Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland, 13th March 1955.
Prithvi Narayan Shah was the King of Gorkha who unified small states of around Gorkha to make the current Nepal.
