Princess Daisy is the name by which Mary Teresa Cornwallis-West (1873-1943), wife of Hans Heinrich XV, Fürst von Pleß, was best known.
Princess Daisy is a Nintendo character who first appeared in Super Mario Land, where she was captured by Tatanga the Mysterious Spaceman and rescued by Mario.
She is suspected by fans to be Princess Peach Toadstool's relative and Luigi's girlfriend. The first name Daisy is often wrongly applied to Princess Toadstool, in part because Daisy replaced Toadstool as the princess to rescue in the Mario movie, which was made prior to the first name "Peach" being used in the United States for Princess Toadstool.
In most of the games, Daisy can be recognized from Peach by the color of her hair: Daisy has brown hair and Peach has blonde hair, although Peach has sometimes appeared with red hair.
