Portia de Rossi (b. 31 January 1973) is an Australian actress. She was born Amanda Lee Rogers in Melbourne, Victoria and grew up in Geelong. She took on her present name at the age of 15.Her first significant role was as a young, impressionable model in the 1994 film Sirens. She also had a role in Scream 2, and played regular lawyer Nelle Porter on the popular series Ally McBeal. As of 2004 she stars as Lindsay Bluth on Arrested Development.
She is engaged to singer/songwriter Francesca Gregorini, the step-daughter of Ringo Starr.
