The Pilgrim Fathers Memorial, located on Frieston Shore in Lincolnshire, England is a small memorial commemorating the Pilgrims first attempt at finding religious freedom on September 14, 1607 by escaping to Holland. This first attempt was unsuccessful and they were arrested and imprisoned for a short while in the Guildhall, located in Boston. After their release in 1608 they spent 12 years in Leiden before eventually setting sail for the New World via Southampton.
