Peugeot 1007 Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The
Peugeot 1007 is a
car based on the
Peugeot 206, on sale from 2004 (2005 in some markets). It is the first mainstream car from Peugeot feature a "double zero" number, but the name is pronounced "ten-oh-seven", not "one-thousand-seven". It features two power sliding doors (as in a
minivan) rather than conventional hinged doors for easier access in cramped spaces, with very large exterior handles. It also features user-swappable interior trim pieces. Another innovation is the optional "two tronic" transmission system. It shares the 206's 1.4 L
petrol and 1.6 L
Diesel engines. It borrows the "big mouth" look from the
407. Its dimensions are 3.73 m long and 1.61 m high. For its size, the 1007 is expensive, with prices around €14,000 (£10,000 in the
UK).
