Paul William Barry Marsden (born 18 March 1968) is a British politician. He is Liberal Democrat member of Parliament for Shrewsbury and Atcham. He was first elected to the seat in 1997, under the banner of the Labour Party.He defected to the Lib Dems in December 2001, after confrontations with Labour whips over his opposition to military action in Afghanistan and Iraq. He announced in July 2004 that he will not contest the next general election.
