Paso Doble Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Paso Doble is a Spanish style of dance. Paso Doble means "two step" in Spanish. This dance is based on the theme of a bullfight.
Paso Doble, like Samba, is a progressive International Latin dance. However, unlike other Latin dances, forward steps are taken with heel leads instead of toe leads, and the styling in terms of the hip motion is different. Additionally, all Paso Doble songs are variants of Espaņa Caņi (Spanish Gypsy Dance), with breaks in fixed positions in the song (two breaks at syllabus levels, three breaks and a longer song at Open levels), and as a result all Paso Doble routines must be choreographed. Because of this, Paso Doble is essentially only danced competitively and almost never danced socially, and is by far the least popular International style dance.
