Occupational Safety and Health Act Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The Occupational Safety and Health Act, known more generally as the OSH Act, was signed into US law by President Richard M. Nixon on December 29, 1970. It was landmark piece of legislation in terms of employee safety.

The act introduced a specific range of demands upon employers, and created the Occupational Safety & Health Administration; (OSHA) to administer and insure compliance.
