O'Reilly Media (formerly O'Reilly & Associates) is an American publishing company established by Tim O'Reilly, primarily focusing on books related to computer programming. They achieve distinctive branding by featuring a woodcut of an animal on many of their covers.The company not only publishes a number of books but also hosts many annual conferences and provides online services for open source community. Among such conferences are O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (April 22-25, 2003) in California and O'Reilly Open Source Convention (July 7-11, 2003) in Portland, Oregon.
