North Yorkshire Moors Railway Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is a heritage railway in North Yorkshire, England. The 18 mile line runs across the North York Moors from Pickering via Levisham, Newton Dale and Goathland to Grosmont. It is run by the North York Moors Historical Railway Trust.

Goathland has been the location for Aidensfield in the Yorkshire TV series Heartbeat and its station was used as Hogsmeade station in the Harry Potter films.

Levisham station has been used for the filming location of the All Creatures Great and Small, Brideshead Revisited, Poirot and Sherlock Holmes television series.
