Nommo Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The Nommo are, according to some sources, the gods of the Dogon people. They are described as bisexual (in the biological sense) and amphibious, and were created in heaven by the creator god Amma, who brought to the Dogon agricultural and other special skills. It is believed that the Nommos came here for the good of mankind.
It is claimed that the Dogon believe the Nommo came from a planet that orbited Sirius B and that the Dogon knew about this star before most scientists did - however this is not universally accepted. see article on the Dogon for further information.
