NationsBank Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
NationsBank was a large banking corporation in the United States, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2000, it merged with BankAmerica of San Francisco, California and the whole unit took on the name of Bank of America and the headquarters were moved to Charlotte. With this merger, all of NationsBank's holdings, including some of the tallest buildings in the country (like Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta and Bank of America Corporate Center in Charlotte) took Bank of America's name. In 1991, NationsBank itself was formed by the merger of two large banks, Citizens & Southern and NCNB (North Carolina National Bank).
