Mürren is a traditional Walser mountain village in Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. It is not connected by any road and is 1,650 m above sea level. A view of the mountains of Eiger, Mönch; and Jungfrau. Tourism is popular through the summer. Muerren's population has 450 inhabitants and 2,000 hotel beds.Admits is also the Schilthorn with its turning restaurant Piz Gloria, where that was turned bond film in the secret service of your majesty.
Muerren has its own school and two churches, a reformed and a Roman-catholic.
Traffic and accessibility
It connects Muerren from Lauterbrunnen with the Bergbahn Lauterbrunnen-Mürren (BLM) or from Stechelberg with the cable car LSMS. Avalley station of the Allmendhubelbahn (SMA) lies.
Politics
Muerren belongs together with the districts of Wengen, Isenfluh, Gimmelwald, Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen to the political commune of Lauterbrunnen. Also the Kirchgemeinde covers the entire valley.
