Molecular mechanisms of memory Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Memories are believed to be created in part by changes in the properties of particular synapses in the brain. Paired activity in two neurons that participate in a synapse leads to both the regulation of proteins and the synthesis of new proteins that affect the "strength" and other properties of the synapse.
