Minehead Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Minehead is a coastal town in northern Somerset, England. Since 1974, Minehead has been administered by the West Somerset District Council.

Since 1991, Minehead has been twinned with St. Berthevin, a small town close to the regional centre of Laval in the Mayenne département of France.

The major attraction of this town is Butlins Minehead. Other attractions include the old train station which terminates The West Somerset Railway and Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club, Somerset's oldest golf club, established in 1882. The town park is off of Blenheim Road. It is the birth place of science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke. The town is overlooked by North Hill and is close to the Exmoor National Park.
