Miklós Rózsa (April 18, 1907 - July 23, 1995) was a major Hungarian-American composer, primarily known for his music for films. He was born in Budapest. The recipient of 17 Academy Award nominations, he won 3 Oscars: for Spellbound, A Double Life, and the score for which he is best remembered, that for the 1959 version of Ben-Hur - a score many believe to be the greatest ever written for a film.His major scores include:
