This list consists of players who participated in Negro League baseball from its first organized structure in 1920 until 1948, after Major League Baseball's color line barring African American players had been broken. The list includes a few players who played Negro League baseball very early in their career and who entered the league at a time when they were soon able to go on to play Major League Baseball.
