Lieutenant Commander Logan, a character in the Star Trek fictional universe, was the original Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise-D under captain Jean-Luc Picard. He is played by Vyto Rugins.Little is known of Logan, and he appears only in one ' episode, "The Arsenal of Freedom". In 2365, Logan was apparently recommissioned as Lieutenant Geordi La Forge was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, transferred from command to the operations division and became the ''Enterprises new chief engineer.
