Léon Degrelle Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Léon Degrelle

Léon Degrelle (June 15, 1906-April 1, 1994) was a founder of Belgian Rexism who joined the Waffen SS (becoming a leader of its Wallon contingent) and, after the war, became a prominent figure in the neo-fascist and Holocaust revisionist movements. He was sheltered by Francisco Franco's Spain from Belgium, which had convicted him of treason, and died in Málaga.

Degrelle has been given, by David Myatt, as an example of "genuine National-Socialism", wherein "there was no hatred of other races" (1), and cites him as having "had a great respect for Islam" (2). According to Myatt, Degrelle, along with Esoteric Hitlerists Savitri Devi and Miguel Serrano, described the essence of National-Socialism minus the "political compromises needed to achieve power" (3).
