KV (Egypt) Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
KV is an acronym employed by Egyptologists to designate tombs located in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt.Deriving from the words "King's Valley", the system was established by John Gardiner Wilkinson in 1821.
Each tomb in the Valley of the Kings has since been allocated a 'KV number' to aid identification.
Well-known examples include KV55 (the tomb of the sons of Ramesses II) and KV62 (the tomb of Tutankhamun).
