Details, Explanation and Meaning About Kusarigama

Kusarigama Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description

Kusarigama is a kama (Japanese for sickle) on a metal chain with a heavy iron weight at the end. The user could attack with either the chain or the sickle, but its ideal use was to tangle the enemy's weapon in the chain, then move in to strike the disabled opponent with the kama.

It should be noted that only the weighted end was thrown, NOT the kama. This is a common misconception made especially evident by the character Kohaku in the popular anime Inuyasha.
