Kowloon Motor Bus Holdings Limited (KMB) is one of the major public transport companies serving Hong Kong.

General
Founded in 1933, KMB is the largest private bus firm in the world. The company possesses over 4,200 buses (around 4000 of them are double deckers), and operating over 400 franchised routes with over 13,000 staff. In 2004, over 80% of the buses are air-conditoned, and the percentage is kept increasing. All buses are equipped with Octopus smart card payment system.
Enviro 500 - One of the newest bus types in KMB]]KMB is the first franchised bus company in Hong Kong that:
- introduced air-conditioning franchised bus service (as early as in 1975);
- introduced super-low-floor (SLF) double deckers
(and the first SLF double decker in the world)(1997); - implement ISO 'Quality Systems' throughout its entire organisation(1999). It got ISO9001:2000 in 2001.
Subsidiary companies and joint ventures
The Long Win Bus Company Limited operates franchised bus routes for Airport and North Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
The Sun Bus Limited operates non-franchised bus services in Hong Kong, serving large residential estates, employers, and schools.
Other joint ventures include:
- Cross-border bus services between Lok Ma Chau of Hong Kong and Huangguang in Shenzhen.
- Residential bus and ferry serivces for Park Island, a residential estate in Ma Wan
