Konkan Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
The Konkan, also called the Konkan Coast or Karavali is the name given to a section of the western coastline of India, extending from Gujarat in the north to Karnataka in the south, between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Definitions of Konkan differ, but most include Maharashtra's districts Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, the state of Goa, and Kanara districts of Karnataka. It is the stretch of rugged and beautiful coastline from Ratnagiri to Mangalore. Many people speak Konkani, a language related to Marathi.See also Konkan Railway
