Kishinev International Airport is an airport in Kishinev, Moldova. It is one of the largest airports in central and eastern Europe. The airport's capacity of passengers is more than 1000 passengers per hour, or 8,800,000 per year.Following construction and opening in 2000 it became one of the most modern airports in Europe and the most modern in the Community of Independent States. In this way, Kishinev became one of the major air hubs of Europe.
