Keio Guide, Meaning , Facts, Information and Description
Keiō (慶応) was an era (nengō) in Japanese history. The reigning emperors were Komei and Meiji. Keio University was named after this era name.
Start: May 1, 1865 (7th day of the 4th month in the old calendar)
End: October 22, 1868 (8th day of the 9th month in the old calendar)
In Genji 2, the era was changed to Keiō because of the rebellion at Hamaguri Gate.
