Kate Orman is an Australian science-fiction author, best known for her books connected to the British science-fiction television series Doctor Who. She has penned many spin-off novels from the series, for Virgin Publishing, BBC Books and Telos Novellas. Many of these have been in collaboration with her American husband, Jonathan Blum, who she met through Doctor Who fandom.

In 2004 their Doctor Who novella Fallen Gods, published by Telos the previous year, won the prestigious Aurealis Award for best Australian science-fiction book.
