Kansai Electric Power (関西電力; Kansai-denryoku) is a company that supplies power to the Kansai region of Japan.

On August 9, 2004, the company reported that four of its employees were killed by a steam burst at the Mihama nuclear plant in Fukui Prefecture. The burst, according to the company, was due to the neglect of mandated safety checks and there was no radiation leak.
