Junior Senior formed in 1998 when Jeppe Laursen (Senior) and Jesper Mortensen (Junior) got back together after their previous band Ludo-X broke up in 1995. Both Junior and Senior grew up in Jutland. The band signed a deal with Danish label Crunchy Frog.
The band released D-D-Don't Don't Stop the Beat in 2003. The first single Move your Feet was the most played songs on Danish radio and eventually made the charts in 13 countries including Australia, France and Denmark. "Move your Feet" is also available on the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy soundtrack. The follow up single Rhythm Bandits has made the singles charts in the UK and Australia.
The album was rated one of the top albums of 2003 by Rolling Stone, NME, Entertainment Weekly and Blender. The Sunday Chronicle in San Francisco rated Move your Feet as the single of the year calling it "the best song ever".
Recently, "Move your Feet" has been included in the US version of the hit dance game DDRExtreme for the Playstation 2.
